World Communion Sunday
Helping others to serve God in life-changing ministries
In his letter to the church at Philippi, the apostle Paul wrote: “I press toward the goal for…the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Those could be the words of many men and women who have received scholarships from the World Communion Sunday offering that have helped them on the journey to serving Christ. Through the generosity of United Methodists around the world, persons seeking to serve Christ have been aided in their journey by scholarships like the Crusade Scholarship for international and U.S racial- and ethnic- minotry students. Scholarships are provided to racial- and ethnic-minorty persons seeking second careers in church-related vocations, and to undergraduates in need of financial assistance.
Our World Communion Sunday gifts enable persons to “press on toward the goal” of serving God in life-changing ministries. Please give generously on World Communion Sunday, the first Sunday in October. Your gift makes a world of difference!
